If you don't already know about Walgreen's monthly EasySaver Catalog, then you are definitely missing out! Every month Walgreen's comes out with a new EasySaver catalog filled with coupons and rebates - some of the items even come out to be free after rebate. Talk about a thrifty find!

Don't think that you will walk out the door with free stuff though...you do have to put a little effort in on you part. You have to pay for the items in advance, fill out the short rebate form inside the catalog and mail it out. Sales tax is non-refundable, but you do have the option of getting a 10% bonus on all rebates when you choose a Walgreen's gift card instead of a rebate check... that should cover the sales tax. You can also choose to get a rebate check, but you won't get the 10% bonus.

Birthday Freebies

Did you know you can get freebies just because it's your birthday? Some places will give you a free desert with your dinner, a free scoop of ice cream or even a free oil change just because its your birthday! The secret is to know exactly where to get these freebies on your birthday and what the requirements are ahead of time. Sometimes all it takes is mentioning its your birthday, other times you may have to sign up for an email list or birthday club online.

I recently found this great website dedicated to providing a detailed list of birthday freebies and free treats called FreeBirthdayTreats.com. You can even sort the freebies by state, so you only find the offers that are applicable to you. If you are planning on benefiting from one of these freebies, I would still call ahead just to make sure the offer is still valid to avoid any unpleasant surprises on your birthday and to make sure you have met the requirements if there are any. They may want to see some kind of proof that it is actually your birthday- usually just showing your drivers liscense will do. Some freebies are even good for the entire month of your birthday...so don't think you will have to run around your whole birthday trying to get free stuff!

Some of my favorite offers that I found on the Free Birthday Treats website include free ice cream treats from Cold Stone Creamery and Baskin Robbins, a free gourmet burger from Red Robin and a free dessert from Chili's. There's also a few other freebies that were not listed on their site, but I have personally gotten on my birthday in the past and are definitely worth checking out such as free slice of pie from Bakers Square, a free video rental from Hollywood Video, a free desert from TGI Fridays, and my favorite- a free oil change from Auto Zone!
